The Leopard 1A3 was the first Leopard 1 with a weldet steel turret. The vehicle differs from Leopard 1A4 using the optical range finders and the commanders periscope instead the EMES system of the Leopard 1A4.

This version was also the common export version of the Leopard 1 with weldet turret. Having some huge or minor modifications Leopard 1A3 is in service with Canada, Denmark, Greek and Turky.

This conversion kit is made for the Revell and Italerie kits therefore these kits do not feature the option to create the Leopard1A3. The kit consists in 13 resin parts and the assembly instruction. Among them is the turret and the lids for the optical range finders.
