The Leopard 2A6M is the latest Leopard 2 version developed for overseas service. The vehicle is especially protected agains anti tank mines. One can recognize the mine protection on the down side of the hull and the new dust skirts at the front. Beside the mine protection the Leopard 2A6M has also the new 6/2 smoke launchers.

The vehicle is used by German Bundeswehr and the Canadian forces which did lease 20 Leopard 2A6M recently for service in Afgahnistan.

The new smoke launchers will be installed with all Leopard 2 users soon.

The base kit for this conversion kit is the Tamiya Leopard 2A6. The kit contains 24 light grey resin parts and two PE parts. The fully detailed assembly instruction is in German and English language
