Many modellers face often the problem to make o copy of a skillfull made part of their own, for example a tyre, a box or may be a whole model. Unfortunatelly it is almost impossible to make by handwork to parts exactly the same and the time is an other serious problem.

Every modeller knows this problem.

The solution is silicone and resin.

Silicone enables really everybody to make his own moulds in a very short time and resin enables really everybodey again to make his own parts.

We from "Perfect Scale Modellbau" know this problem very well, but it is not really a problem for us, it is our daily work for our own production or the production for our clients. Thank to our know how we know how difficult it is to get suitable silicone and resin in small quantities for competetive prices which are castable without vaccum.

Now we want to share our knowledge with you and introduce our product arangement.

We have 2 differnt silicone typs

- Silicone "CLEAR and silicone "GREEN"

Silicone "CLEAR" and "GREEN" are available in two sizes: 2 x 250 Gramm und 2 x 500Gramm.

Silicone "CLEAR"

Silicone "CLEAR" is a elastic and medium hard material ( Shore A 25 ). This material is usable for all copying works in single and double half moulds. The silicone is liquid and well flowing. Potlife is about 25 minutes and final hardnes is reached after 60 - 80 minutes depending on temperature. The mixture is 1 : 1 volume parts. The color is clear and translucent. The special quality of silicone "CLEAR" is its translucence. This makes the part inside the mould visible and so one can open the mould very easy with a sharp knife. Highly recommended for figures and very complex parts.

Silicone "GREEN"

Silicone "GREEN" is a elastic and medium soft material ( Shore A 18 ). This material is usable for all copying works in single and double half moulds. The silicone is very liquid and very well flowing. Potlife is about 5 minutes and final hardnes is reached after 30 - 60 minutes depending on temperature. The mixture is 1 : 1 volume parts. The color is green. The special quality of silicone "GREEN is its easy handling and so it is particular usable for beginners, but even experts will agree to the benefits of silicone "GREEN".

- Resin "5 Min" und Resin "2 Min"

Resin "5 Min"

Resin "5 Min" is a very liquid and light grey PUR that is especially designed for moldelling works by "Perfect Scale Modellbau".

The mixture of these 2 komponent material is 1 : 1 weight parts. The very high flowing capacity ( ca. 60 mpa ) minimizes air bubbles while casting even with thin and long parts and highly detailed parts. Potlife is about 5 Min, this has proofed as the best time for open hand casting for bigger parts. Final hardnes is reached after about 30 - 60 Min. depending on material strength.

The material quality is made to be similar to ordinary plastic, so the resin is not brittle and in thin layers still flexible. The material does not smell.
